Steel Monkey Engineering Limited
are a specialist manufacturer of staging & scenery for the film,
television & music industries, creating one off sets and bespoke
scenery for designers & producers of awards shows, concerts and art
installations.
The company was formed in 1997 by Chris & Annie French and having
started out in a small work shop on the Bristol docks the company
now employs 30 highly skilled full time staff and have over
28000sqft of production & office facilities dedicated to drafting,
metal & aluminium fabrication, mechanical engineering, joinery & CNC
routing.
Our extensive scenic department offers poly carving & sculpting,
Polyurea coating & fibreglass, scenic painting, and fabric work.
We are able to offer the client a complete expert service from cad
drawing through manufacturing and fitting on site.
Our knowledge and understanding of the industry means that we can
offer our clients the assurance that what has been requested gets
delivered; from a one off piece of public art to a full touring set.
Steel Monkey have been the preferred company for the band sets on
the Brits and Classical Brits shows since 2001and have supplied the
main set on the Baftas since 2002.
We have worked on such prestigious shows as A Concert for Diana,
Princes Trust & Live Earth and with many artists including; Robbie
Williams, U2 and Katherine Jenkins.
Our most recent projects have been the Twisted Chimney by New York
artist Brian Tolle and the Help for Heroes concert at Twickenham. |
